Protection of the environment

In view of the significantly increasing dangers posed by advancing climate change, we take our corporate responsibility to protect the environment very seriously. That is why we have implemented an environmental management system in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001 and are proud to have been certified since 2022.

Since 2016

We minimise our environmental footprint

We have been working continuously since 2016 to minimise our environmental footprint along the life cycle of our products.

  • When developing new products, we focus on sustainability, environmental compatibility and safety.
  • Our goal is to achieve at least 90% climate-neutral production at our largest site in Nuremberg by 2028.
  • With a view to our goal of climate-neutral production, we are increasingly focussing on the use of renewable energies, among other things. And not just in external procurement: we therefore installed a photovoltaic system in 2023.
  • By investing in modern technologies, e.g. for lighting, heating and air conditioning, as well as in our buildings, we are helping to reduce energy consumption.

  • Through targeted measures and with the involvement of our suppliers with regard to waste reduction and the promotion of the circular economy, we actively contribute to the conservation of natural resources. We also support our customers in this way.
  • Through a mobility budget for our employees, we promote, among other things, the switch to public transport and the use of job bikes.
  • By carefully selecting our logistics providers, we endeavour to at least offset emissions that are harmful to the climate.
  • People are part of the environment: health and safety are important to us, even beyond compliance with recognised labour law standards. Even if we are not certified in this area, our internal processes are based on the requirements of ISO 45001. With regard to global supply chains, we try to exert indirect influence through our supplier management.
