The lidarCube impresses at MTW-Expo 2024

The Meteorological Technology World Expo 2024 in Vienna was a great success for us. The event, a key meeting point for weather and climate research experts, provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest technologies.

At the heart of our exhibition was the lidarCube – our compact Lidar system, whose first prototype was unveiled at the expo.

The lidarCube: high range in a compact form
The lidarCube can capture 3D wind, temperature, humidity, and aerosols up to an altitude of 100 kilometers. Both the achievable height of 100 km and the measurement accuracy are unprecedented. The extensive data on atmospheric composition are ideal for weather services, research institutes, and many other applications. Thanks to its flexibility, the lidarCube can be used both stationary and mobile, making it especially attractive for a wide range of meteorological applications.

Both visitors and the press took a close look at our lidarCube. Meteorological Technology International dedicated an article to us, praising the lidarCube as a groundbreaking "proof of concept" for weather and climate research. You can find the full article here.
Many conversations at the expo also highlighted the perfect synergy between our radiosondes and the new Lidar technology. The meteorological community agrees that only the combination of various technologies can provide sufficient information. Radiosondes and the lidarCube offer an ideal pairing in this regard!

We are thrilled with the success of the expo, the new connections made, and the exciting upcoming projects that have resulted from it.
